KRC Just A Work In Progress
Just write… they say…otherwise how can you be a writer? Makes sense. Just act. Just do a voiceover – same thing. Everything is easy in theory and an assault course in practice.
They also say “write” to get in touch with our intuition. We do “know” deep down, as we consciously rev the accelerator yet subconsciously slam on the brakes. Who are they? You know, the elders. Also, 90% of our 60,000 thoughts a day are repetitive. Not ideal for creative productivity and a “yes please” RSVP to tea with the mad hatter. But writing releases the old thoughts, lets the new ones through so we feel better and on good days – we solve it. It doesn’t matter what we write. We just have to write, act, do a voiceover, start. Yea but starting…! I hear ya.
KRC JUST A WORK IN PROGRESS is what I’ve learnt from my icy, black, mogul run…when I was up for a gentle blue and a long lunch. It’s also a state I think I’ll always be in. I hope that my conclusions – while nursing the bruises from bumpy slalom attempts – might help you mince it, waltz it, generally style it out. It’s certainly feels good to write them, make sense of it all and end the experience a bit more Disney and zen.
Cue Latin motto like ‘In Failure There’s Success’ or something…
Live Sessions via Source Connect Standard, Cleanfeed, Source Connect Now, Zoom or Skype…are always better than self-directed sessions. Two minds are always more creative than one! As Home Studios are now more a thing due to the impact of Covid, voiceover artists had to become studio engineers – fast. We are now dotted all over
